Lingerie Definitions

Baby Dolls
A mini gown usually made from sheer or lacy materials with hems just below the hip. A great buy because they're ultra-feminine and have a "forgiving fit" and come with matching panties or thongs.

Bikini
Skimpier styles have narrow sides, including V-cut (in front), French cut (with high-cut sides) and low-cut string (with string sides).

Bodysuit
The stretch suit for the entire body will flatter any woman's physique.

Brief
A full-coverage, to-the-waist panty, cut low on the thigh.

Bustier
A bra with fitted sides that extend down the waist to provide an hourglass look with more control.

Camisole
A "cami" is a body-shaped bodice or corset cropped to the waist or midriff. Most are lace trimmed.

Chemise
A flirty little mini-slip in lengths that range from top of the thigh to mid-thigh.

Corset
Similar to the bustier, it is a strapless bra with fitted sides to the waist and is pulled tight to the body for an hourglass look and tied in the back. May be worn under an open jacket.

G-String
Barely a panty with a small patch of material in front and thong back.

Garter Belts
This sexy item is worn at the waist or hips with attached garters to hold up stockings. Often coordinates with matching bras and bikinis.

Gowns/Peignoirs
All women love the way they look in these long or short gowns which usually include a matching robe and panty.

Teddy
One-pieces, like the bodysuit, teddies are often adorned with lace and ribbon.

Teddiette
A sexier version of the Teddy, usually comes with garters and is worn with stockings.

Thong
The barest, most body-conscious style, with center string or thong at back. It is a nice alternative to no panty lines or no panties.

Stockings
These have always been popular. There's just something about a women in stockings and garter belts that men love. Lace top thigh huggers that don't need garters are sexy, too! Both styles come in several colors to match just about anything.
